Barone Soares: investment readiness fund is "far too small"

Daniela Barone Soares, CEO of Impetus – Private Equity Foundation, told Tim West the Investment and Contract Readiness Fund (ICRF) will not build enough demand to match the £600m due to enter the marketplace from Big Society Capital.

In the second part of a video interview with Tim West, Barone Soares also identified payments by results as a real danger to social enterprises and charities, arguing that it "alienates smaller, innovative organisations" and said that the social investors already operating in the marketplace could come to view themselves as "dumb money" and want to exit the market.
