"I realised I was just part of a trend" – Jed Emerson
Jed Emerson is one of the rock stars of the small world of impact investing. With Californian surfer swagger to spare, Emerson makes a refreshing change from the staid suits who populate many impact investing get-togethers. But he's a genuine leader too, having championed impact investing long before it was fashionable, coining the term "blended value" while he was at it.
Now that a new wave of impact investors have claimed the territory for themselves, does it bother him? And why, when it comes to his inspiration, is it all about the Benjamins? Matt Black asks the questions at the Partnering for Global Impact event which took place in Lake Lugano, Switzerland.
