Top London restaurant Roast puts social impact on the menu

On first inspection Roast is a popular restaurant serving up mouth-watering meats, fish and fresh produce from London's Borough Market. But its founder Iqbal Wahhab is not solely intent on serving up glorious food, he also wants to ensure his small commercial business has a real social impact.

Supporting that mission, Sarah Forster founder of the Good Economy Partnership carried out an assesment of Roast's social impact. It's the first time a small enterprise has sought out a rigorous assessment of its benefit to society, and the results suggest that there is huge potential for socially minded SMEs to drive the creation of a more inclusive economy.
