Caroline Bressan is CEO of Open Road. Since joining Open Road in 2015, Caroline has spent the past decade focused on getting dollars into the hands of impact organizations and social entrepreneurs when they need it most. As CEO of Open Road, an impact-first investor, Caroline has built an organization that works to “unstick” capital.
During her tenure at Open Road, Caroline launched the organization’s first loan product in 2017. Since then, Caroline has overseen and underwritten the deployment of over $90M in bridge loans, globally that have kept over $900M of follow-on financing on track. Caroline has experience across the investment process from origination to restructuring and currently focuses her time on building the organization’s strategy, fundraising, communications and impact management. Caroline also leads the organization’s advocacy strategy, working to crowd other family offices into impact-first investing using Open Road’s experience starting out as a family office initiative and evolving into an impact-first asset manager.
Prior to Open Road, Caroline was an Investment Principal at Dalberg based in Washington DC and Johannesburg. Previously, Caroline was an Investment Officer at Calvert Impact. She received her MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business, a BBA from the University of Michigan and lives in Seattle with her husband and two children
