Dr Ayikoru Comfort Peace is a Ugandan medical doctor and social entrepreneur dedicated to transforming maternal and neonatal care in Africa. As the team lead at BuriCare Limited, she leads the development of BuriCare, an award-winning, eco-friendly baby carrier with integrated vital sign monitoring designed to support premature infants in low-resource settings.
Her innovative work has earned multiple national and international honours. Dr Comfort holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Mbarara University and an MPhil in Population Health Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. A YALI alumna and passionate advocate for maternal and child health, she combines clinical experience, research, and innovation to advance equitable, accessible newborn care.
